I really liked that cortana demo at build 2014. I am seriously thinking about moving to windows phone. I already have the surface pro replacing my desktop. I think with them all (pc, phone, x1) sharing the same programming environment, that might be a huge advantage. I think I switch as soon as I see an improvement in apps availability compared to android.

You lose a little of the cusomizability that comes with the android devices, but overall the OS is much more stable. Things just seem to work. I never find myself wondering why my device is so slow or is having trouble streaming, then having to find the task killer program that Google swears you dont need, but actually do.

I have a complete Apple infrastructure at my home and even for business I took the opportunity to use Apple MacBook Pro by the BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) offering of my employer . So it is a hard decision to me. The current phone I have is a compromise between cost and feature list, but the phone is already some years old now.

Thx for sharing your experience it surly sustains my efforts towards the windows phone. I already read about the significant performance gains and the stable software environment. If I get an app environment that is big enough for me (I don't need so much) that would seal the deal. And on top of that I am kind of hyped towards the capabilities of cortana. I definetely keep an eye on that Next year the contract with my phone provider expires and I get to choose a new phone. Then I might just grap the newest windows phone

I think as much I want buy a windows phone as much I have already invested in Apps in the Apple ecosystem. If I would buy a windows phone I would need to invest a comparable amount of money for Apps again. And some stereo equipment I bought was a huge investment too like the Beolit 12 from B&O. Luckily, the only phone that I would buy as a windows phone is a Lumia 930, so I have still time to decide.

There is not so much in the store to spend a fortune )) what i really hate about WP and will always tell about this - is stupid playlist based music listening. I cannot just make a collection that i like. I understand, apple also does not have that, but Android does! also it cannot stream video from many sites. I wanted to buy a new 6 inch lumia, but checked and it does not play the video online, while even windows RT does. other than that, i'm happy with the phone. It's like family relationships, i guess, sometimes you hate them, but still love them most of the time ))
