Phil is basically saying with Indie games, we may be getting paid Alpha's. I hope they work out the business model for that well. MGS:GZ is not a good example. That should have been free. In Titanfall's instance if it were an indie studio, I wouldn't mind paying $20 for it for early access, and then I'd pay the remaining $40 or so to get the full game later. Hell, work in a discount for testing. That'd be cool. Of course it would be download only, and that's fine. Another step towards lowering the price of games for going all digital. Source: IGN

microsoft issue is that alan wake floundered early on. now its a classic. they might be more likely to take risk now because they dont have a choice. why do you think sony went after all the small titles because they can give the peasants feed until they finally get a game. odd how microsoft killed sony with games the launch period and got the suckers running around saying greatness awaits. dumb fucks didnt realize waiting is awaits.

I think it'll be fine. MGS is not a paid alpha, its a straight up cash-grab. Those other paid alpha's are basically just early access, so you buy the game, and get to play it as they develop it. You shouldnt pay more money later for the full game.

>>> suckers running around saying greatness awaits LOL, just imagined that picture
yeah, now we need not only early access but a kickstarter as well! That's gonna rock!
