Hi guys,
as most of us enjoying their Xbox One and the games on it and in the wake of the latest update that delivered some good improvements in handling and responsiveness I would like to discuss/collect all the things we are eager for in the next updates. Please add your ideas !

DRM related:- I would like not to have my only disc (Forza 5) always in my tray.
- I also would like to be able to trade in a digital-only game on a marketplace so others can it get from me for a reduced price + the developer get a share from the difference from what I get and the reduced price for the buyer. As there is no abrasion to digital goods this would be a WIN-WIN-WIN deal for all participants.
Messages App:- Enable snap for messages App that shows the last messages as a list. Each list item shows sender and first words of message
- If a message is a reply to a message an option that shows you the message that was replied to. Often enough I don't remember the question when I get answers days/weeks later
- Option to filter messages by favorites, friends, followers, read, unread
- option to do bulk deleting of messages (selection screen like invite to party, where so can select a list of messages for deletion)

01 - External drive and file (audio, video, photo) support. 02 - Create audio playlists to play local music in games like I could on 360. 03 - Way to easily mute and unmute the Kinect mic array without having to disable mic chat it in the settings. 04 - Way to view, quit/close ALL open apps and games to better manage resources. 05 - A log for sent messages and requests. 06 - Use X1 apps through Smartglass without having it open on TV. 07 - Resize snap window size for TV and ALL apps to at least half TV screen size OR even better resize them like windows in Win 8 with capability of viewing 3 apps together! 08 - Hardrive utilities (Scan, defrag etc). 09 - Disc eject via voice AND through controller/remote. 10 - Way to control what user is actually engaged in activity (What friends see) when multiple users logged in. (Sometimes kids are playing while I'm watching, but appears I am) 11 - A way to message with friends in Smartglass on phones and tablets when not connected to physical X1 to better organize teaming/clans during the day. 12 - Beacons

Hey Orion or anyone else, have there been rumors about an xbox platinum service, and if so what all would it include. I very well might be out of the loop, but did a couple of searches with no recent hits. Thus if it's not something that is currently rumored to happen what would be the benefits of having platinum vs gold? If there has been mention of it could you post a link?
Features that I would like to see added: 1.) playing disc purchased games without the disc in the tray. 2.) Method to share digital games with friends (as was rumored prior to the DRM change) 3.) List of changes post updates.

List of changes post updates. No rumors. I just would like to see it happen. That would be great. Drop the price of Gold to $50 a year and have a $70-80$ service with some extra benefits. A platinum service would maybe get you 2 free games, 1 free movie rental, and you'd get to increase the number of people on your family sharing service maybe. And with Gold, you'd get one free game. And then they move IE, Netflix, and other movie apps access from behind the Gold paywall. Then you put Twitch halfway behind the paywall; Silver to watch, Gold to stream. Then with the platinum service you get Skype group video access. Then the rest of Skype is under Silver. Stuff like that. It's just an idea from my part.

02 - Create audio playlists to play local music in games like I could on 360. Oh please, not just "playlist" but play music from a folder! This is a very lacking feature even at windows phone. Im tired of those playlists! Android is way better in this respect: i can put my music into folders and mix the content inside whatever i want and play each folder separately. is this a hard thing to do for them?

Shouldn't really be that hard. I think they prefer that people subscribe to their services and if they open up the ability to play music files and movie files, the likelihood of people subscribing decreases.

Would really like a reminder feature built into the OneGuide... so I can set reminders for certain shows/movies I want to watch.

Those are great ideas, most of which I had not thought of!!! Here is my list so far: 1) Back compat not streamed BC. 2) External HDD - No restrictions as long as it meets speed requirements. 3) .MKV and nearly all codecs/containers! 4) Flood gates open for apps (video) similar to Roku. Personally I want xbla to happen on xbox one, where all of our 360 content is available for download. This would only be via software emulation method ( hardware is unlikely possible IMHO) which would unfortunately have some compatibility issues, but 360 successfully had it. With digital becoming so prominent, having that content still available should be a necessity as platforms are replaced. I think the chance of this happening appear slim to none, but this is on on my wishlist. I think cloud might be a way for this to happen similar to Sony's way; however, i would rather have it on console not via cloud. Strangely enough Azure would be better delivery method (less latency) than Sony's online method, but I still would rather have it on my HDD so latency is nonexistent. Other big item is external HDD with no restrictions to size, i.e. 8 or 16TB RAID enclosure would work no problem. Finally .MKV!!!! This will probably also never happen. Guess i am swinging for the fences....never say never, right? Also, and this is not as much as feature; however, there needs to be as many video apps as there are on the Roku for example. Crunchyroll, Dramafever, The Blaze, HBO, MBC, etc. There are hundreds on Roku some better than others obviously; however, I hope that is what the Xbox One is striving for. Let us have the freedom to choose what we watch instead of having on a limited number of choices. Granted, Crunchyroll is on Xbox 360 (and I think HBO) but the others are not. I understand that these content providers have to push for it to, and with Xbox One Ownership and demand will drive this, so this is a multi-year wish, but I hope we hear more about this at e3. The more we get the better. We are a very diverse viewership, let's demand it! I understand that Microsoft is going to want to keep this tight for things to be "built" for Xbox One, but I believe in freedom over censorship. Put requirements on app content providers but don't artificially limit it. UPDATE: Grammar fixes and 4th thing on wish list added.
